Hey there, my name is Lauren Gage, however all my friends just call me Gage. I grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, spent nearly five years in Front Royal, Virginia, and moved to Northern Idaho in the crazy summer of 2020. After living coast to coast, Idaho is easily my favorite—first because it’s where I met and married the love of my life, and second because you can usually find us hiking, kayaking, snowboarding, fishing, mushroom hunting, or doing just about anything outdoors with our twin blue heelers, Jasper and Juniper. Most people assume I’m the oldest of five siblings, but I’m actually the youngest. I credit my grit to my mom and best friend, whose values continue to shape who I am today.

Before joining Family Heritage, I was one of those dabble-in-everything-under-the-sun kind of gals while building a career in wedding and corporate event planning. Events had always been the end goal, so it’s still wild that after eight years of working toward it, I found Family Heritage—and exactly where I’m supposed to be.

I chose Family Heritage after realizing I didn’t have to keep waiting to feel ready for the career I thought I wanted. I could choose a life with greater freedom, flexibility, and a stronger sense of self instead. This career challenges you to stop blaming circumstances and discover who you’re capable of becoming—and there’s nothing more freeing than that.

For the first time, the life my husband and I always talked about—but never thought could be ours—feels possible, with a clear path to get there.
